Another Christmas decoration rant? Aren't there other issues of greater importance a cartoonist should target? Well yes, I say, but shouldn't somebody...somebody stand up and say "hey, not only are your brown Christmas wreaths out of place on a warm Spring Sunday, they're ruining the original reason for Christmas decorations." Comfort and Joy? Peace on Earth? 'Tis the season to be jolly? Those are hardly the emotions felt at the sight of drooping icicle lights and sun bleached bowties flapping in the April winds. Yet, they remain on display and remnents of Christmasses past remain part of every neighbourhood, everywhere.
While it may be a tiny thing to go after by comparison to skewering those involved with the Sponsorship scandal (and all the issues indirectly connected with Adscam) the notes of agreement I get from readers proves it's a thing that bugs others very much.
And so, to my compatriots against out-of-season Christmas decor, here is my latest scibble on the subject.
