(From an article printed 3 months ago) HAMILTON (CP) -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have already improved on one statistic from last year's woeful season.
The announced crowd of 22,342 at Ivor Wynne Stadium for Sunday afternoon's pre-season opener versus the Toronto Argonauts was bigger than any home crowd they had in 2003.
For last September's Labour Day
classic against the Argos, they attracted a season-high 21,323.
"To beat our biggest crowd from last year is huge, absolutely," said new Ticat owner Bob Young, a homegrown computer whiz and multi-millionaire
whose purchase of the franchise gave fans new optimism. Source.
