While Ernie Eves has spent the election campaign hammering away at Dalton McGuinty, the Liberal leader said Monday he will not stoop to that sort of mudslinging. "I'm going to stay positive through this entire campaign," the Liberal leader said in Sudbury Monday. "I draw my inspiration from the people of this province. They're not looking for negativity.''
McGuinty used humour to deflect the barbs, saying that Eves is "blaming me for pretty much everything these days.
"This afternoon he's going to announce that I am the cause of premature baldness. You elect McGuinty as premier, he'll sneak into your home and steal the family pet."
Eves has been characterizing McGuinty as being against seniors, students and people who want to own a home.
"If you earn an income, Dalton will take your money," Eves said last week. "If you have a mortgage, he'll take your money. If you're a senior owning or renting a home, he'll take your money."
